my good friend, heidi, is a christmas baby.
every year her birthday is
in other words, every year heidi gets jipped.
she did receive two separate gifts from me in december, but was quick to point out that i did not publish a blog post dedicated to HER special day.
so, i am making it up to her here.
today we will celebrate the day heidi was (probably) conceived!
the day her parents performed a "special hug", and created my special friend. (has the image of that statement been seared into your mind, heidi?!?)
and to express my gratitude to heidi's parents for planning (or not) to bring her into the world *mumbled whisper, cough, cough - a good number of* years ago, i will now list the reasons why i am glad she is here. . . .
1. heidi has excellent taste in music. we like to rock out to all the same bands. and, she is a fantabulous concert buddy.
2. heidi loves lunch almost as much as i do. and, dinner and breakfast too.
3. heidi is a bigger disneyland freak than anyone i know.
4. heidi is a first-class story teller.
5. heidi is funny. hilarious, even.
6. heidi is not above molesting wax mannequins of my man crush, matthew mcconaughey.
7. heidi always remembers to send me a postcard. or at least bring one to me, if she forgets her postcard stamps.
8. heidi knows exactly what i mean when i say "skelo-satan".
9. heidi makes delicious peanut butter balls. and she shares.
10. heidi appreciates a good craft day.
heidi is awesome, and i'm glad we are friends.

I don't think I can wish Blogless Heidi a happy birthday. But, she I have actually met her, so I will wish her a happy birthday, begrudgingly.

Thank you so much for the special post, but more importantly, I mean... but also, thank you for the free lunch!! And present!!! And cupcake!!!! I had no idea it was even near the day I was most likely conceived - and in case you really were wondering... my understanding is that no, it was not in fact a plan on my parent's part to bring me into this world. But I am certain that they are super glad that they did! =) Thanks again for everything! You made an otherwise, dreary, windy day super FANTASTIC!

LOL, you are so funny Rychelle! I'd never gave much thought to the concept of celebrating the days in which a person was conceived until now. But its a brilliant idea and deserves some kudos!! (As long as I can get out of my head the mental image of my parent's "baking cookies" so to speak, lol!!!)
